Position Summary:
Retirement Planning firm in Warwick, RI is seeking a full-time Service Advisor. This position focuses on new business and client relationships. The Service Advisor is fully accountable for handling day-to-day client management, portfolio risk analysis, and providing investment recommendations based on research. Candidates must exhibit exceptional time management skills, attention to detail, accept direction, be customer service oriented and skilled with technology.
Job Duties
- Answer questions from clients as it pertains to their account
- Review and respond to emails as necessary
- Maintain files and records in accordance with the records retention policy
- Prepare for client meetings, focusing on planning discussions (applications, analysis)
- Perform case analysis and develop recommendations
- Communicate with team members on client documentation, prep, and process
- Participate in weekly team meetings
- Review database to ensure client records are up to date
- Maintain strong compliance documentation
- Make outgoing client courtesy calls
- Portfolio analysis and monitoring
- Gather account values and complete client review summary for upcoming appointments
- Assist with client update reports and mailings as needed with team
- Write notes or letters to clients on company letterhead
- Respond to advice-related client calls
- Investment research for new products and provide summary to Advisor
- Assign and delegate work and provide feedback, when appropriate, to support team
Minimum Requirements:
- 3 Years prior experience working in the financial industry
- Must have RI Health and Life License
- Must have Series 65 License
- Working knowledge of computers and software
- Knowledge of key financial, investment and risk management concepts
